Mary Wienholt may have been Brisbane’s Lady of Philanthropy in 1919 and possibly travelled in this gorgeous Vauxhall to her destination however tomorrow will see us fast track forward 100 years to Brisbane’s Lady of Philanthropy 2019.
To befit this fun curatorial sitting (my first formal Brisbane Portrait Prize Sitting)a 1919 Tea Dress has been created, designed and stitched together by Artist Katrina Goldsworthy and Embroidered by Deborah Love. Paspaley have kindly allowed us to portray this wonderful Brisbane Woman with a bespoke Baroque Opera Length of Pearls.
